I have a lot of experience designing maps, so working on this project felt comfortable like a favorite sweater. I received some old art for this project to see what was done previously, then I decided on a new size, fold, and layout that would work best for the amount of new content I would be adding. I used the client’s logo as inspiration for the color palette of the guide, and a whimsical typeface that complements the overall feel of the Adventures’ brand. Then I designed a legend on the map side, linking the front and back, allowing the user to find their way easily.
